25 Apr

May 1st-31st, Let’s COLOR FOR A CAUSE!

Life is about using the whole box of crayons, join us in supporting our community!

Why: We at the Delectable Egg are locally grown and owned, and believe giving back and supporting our community is a crucial part of being an exceptional member of society!

How it works: Each Delectable Egg restaurant will hold a coloring contest May 1st to May 31st. There’s a minimum of $1 donation to enter, with no age restrictions, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners will be chosen from EACH store June 1st!

Who: All locations have chosen different organizations in which 100% of proceeds raised from their store will go to, and they are listed below!

Arts Street (Court Place Location Pick!)

Arts Street is a program of the non-profit Youth Employment Academy that creates education and employment opportunities for young people living in the greater metro Denver.  Using the power of arts and art professionals to nurture leadership and engage youth in learning, Arts Street@YEA cultivates low-income and under-served youth into a creative and culturally competent workforce.

Second Wind Fund (Market St Location Pick!)

Second Wind Fund believes that every child and youth at risk of suicide should have access to the mental health treatment they need. We match children and youth at risk for suicide with licensed therapists in their communities. If a financial or social barrier to treatment is present, we pay for up to 12 sessions of therapy from one of our specialized network providers. Our unique program helps referred youth discover hope and healing in their lives.

Westminster Burn Fund (Westminster Location Pick!)

The main purpose of the Burn Fund is to provide immediate financial relief to Westminster citizens that are displaced from their homes due to fire. The charity enables Westminster firefighters to hand over a check on the spot to help displaced families.  If all you have at the moment is the clothes you are wearing (or pajamas!), this is a big help.  It enables a family to secure a room for the night, clothes, food and other basic necessities; insurance and other assistance sometimes takes awhile to come through.

Rocky Mountain Preparatory School (Lowry Location Pick!)

Right now, just 50 percent of Denver Public School students read on grade level and only 58 percent graduate from high school. Rocky Mountain Prep is committed to improving outcomes for its students by providing scholars with a transformational education that starts in pre-kindergarten and prepares them to graduate from high school and a four-year college.
